International youth training „Policing the (youth) policies in Europe“ held in Novi Sad

Association „People’s Parliament“ together with it’s partner organizations stated below, involved 42 participants from Serbia, Poland, Germany and Finland in the training course organized in Novi Sad, Serbia, 25-28th November 2022. Participants came from a diverse background: youth, youth workers from mainly grass-root NGO’s and institutions and municipal employees. Individuals with desire to learn more about municipal youth policies and get involved in advocacy for youth work on municipal level.

This international event build upon on the learning outcomes from the previous project activity – national workshops organized by the project partners during September and October 2022 in Serbia, Poland, Germany and Finland. Building especially in the sense of further exploration of the actual youth needs identified during the national workshops, as well as their relation towards future municipal youth policies.

The training built cross-border partnerships among people and organizations and connected them with European level youth NGO’s. Good practices in grassroots youth work support and youth policies advocacy on municipal level was shared by participants and activists acting as moderators, experts, speakers…

In the end, participants produced a number of ideas for nonprofit projects meant to connect the participants across borders. As well as, number of practical ideas for supporting local youth work and for the benefit of future local youth policies for which consortium of organizations gathered around Association „People’s Parliament“ is advocating for.

Policing the policies – grassroots advocacy initiative for EU-level aligned and inclusive local youth strategies“ project aims to make municipal-level youth policies more EU-level aligned and inclusive while enabling networking and cross-border partnerships for grass-root youth organisations.

The project is partnership between four non-governmental organizations: Association “People’s Parliament” from Serbia, Field of dialogue Foundation from Poland, Crisis simulation for peace (CRISP) from Germany and Association of cultural heritage education in Finland. The project is a “European Youth Together” initiative of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme, implemented from February 1st 2022 to January 31st 2024.
