Public call for participants of the „Policing the (youth) policies in Europe“ international training

Association „People’s Parliament“ is inviting potential participants from Serbia, Poland, Germany and Finland to apply for participation in the “Policing the (youth) policies in Europe” training course (TC). The TC will be held in Hotel Planeta Inn, Jevrejska 36, Novi Sad, Serbia, 25-28th November 2022.

Brief introduction of the project “Policing the policies” and overall context:

Policing the policies – grassroots advocacy initiative for EU-level aligned and inclusive local youth strategies“ project aims to make municipal-level youth policies more EU-level aligned and inclusive while enabling networking and cross-border partnerships for grass-root youth organisations.

The project is partnership between four non-governmental organizations: Association “People’s Parliament” from Serbia, Field of dialogue Foundation from Poland, Crisis simulation for peace (CRISP) from Germany and Association of cultural heritage education in Finland. The project is a “European Youth Together” initiative of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme, implemented from February 1st 2022 to January 31st 2024.

Brief introduction of the “Policing the policies” training course:

The training course will gather ~40 youth workers and youngsters. Individuals with desire to learn more about municipal youth policies and get involved in advocacy for youth work on municipal level.

The training will build cross-border partnerships among people and organisations and connect them with European level youth NGO’s. Good practices in grassroots youth work support and youth policies advocacy on municipal level shared by activists from Creative District in Novi Sad, Youth center OPENS, EXIT music festival, Europe Goes Local project, Slovenian global action SLOGA

This international event also aims to build on the learning outcomes from the previous project activity – national workshops organized by the project partners during September and October 2022 in Serbia, Poland, Germany and Finland. Building especially in the sense of further exploration of the actual youth needs identified during the national workshops, as well as their relation towards future municipal youth policies.

We are looking for participants who are working in the field of non-formal learning and youth work (no age limit here), as well as for participants who are young people (15-30) and are not actively involved in non-formal education but have a desire to become more active and get involved in youth work and advocacy.

Working language of the training course is English.

Logistical information:

Participation in the training course is free of charge. No participation fee is required. European Union via the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme (European Youth Together KA3) is co-funding the activity.

Organizer will cover accommodation and food costs for all participants of the training. During the period of November 25-28th, 2022. Accommodation is in twin rooms in the four star Planeta Inn hotel in Novi Sad, Serbia. Meeting room, as well as the dinning premises are in the same hotel.

Organizer will reimburse 100% of incurred travel costs. In some cases, for instance when air travel ticket purchase is potentially problematic for a participant, organizer will purchase air travel ticket on behalf of participant(s).

Deadline for applications:

Sunday October 30th 2022, until 24.00 CET. Deadline has been extended by 10 days from previous of October 20th. Date of selection: November 1, 2022.
